The game Diaspora was referred to me by a friend about a year back. My first impression was that it was going to be just another extremely complex game in which I would soon be very lost. Well, part of my assumtion was right. When I started playing, I WAS lost in the interestingly large depth of the game. I ejoyed the subtle way in which the players of the universe could interact and change how the game was played. But wasn't too overwhelmed because the games interface is well designed.

Diaspora contains a excellent mix of intelligence and wit, over heart stopping fun and quick reactions. You must creatively manage your resourses and time in order to build you character, as well as interact with players and gain trust within the game. "You are only as good as your friends" holds true in this game. Diaspora's intense battles are truly compelling. Brute force is not the only thing that wins here, planning and the proper use of your guild and allies is essential.

Overall, I think Diaspora is a perfect massively multiplayer game for me and for many people, I know it's taken up tons of my free time! Which may or may not be a good thing, but nonetheless, it's an enjoyable online community, and a good investment of time for anyone online gamer.
