4 StarsI first stumbled on this game about a year ago while looking for a game to beta test. When I first read the message board and saw the news section, I knew I had to play.I downloaded the approximately 17MB setup file and started playing immediately. After learning my way around the slightly awkward controls, I knew I was hooked. I bought a ship and launched into space.
There were players in orbit, talking about things like Rin and Pirates and contraband (all of which was *way* over my head at the time) and they were more than willing to answer my questions. Within 10 minutes, I was trading like a pro!Before I knew it, I wanted a Talos Destroyer (the best ship in the game at the time), so I had to trade, trade, trade!
The game's biggest strength isn't as much the game in and of itself, but in the interaction. You can always find someone to talk to, trade with, or just go out and kill. To further the sense of community, players can join guilds or start thier own.
My only complaint is with the staff. Since there are only two people (Phil and Guy), it can sometimes take a *very* long time for them to respond to an email or patch a bug.
Over all, I would recommend trying this game. Just surf on over to the game's website and download the setup file. Run it and you're off to the races. And if you stick around, maybe you can join me in the cleansing! MWAHAHAHA!
