Has any body heard of the free, 2D MMO called Project Diaspora? It looks like a fun game if any one could port it to Maemo. Do you think it would be possible?

Will not work. Managed to run it and make an account and login, but it crashes right after that. GDB was unable to trace it. Resolution is hard coded to 800x600 which means graphics are fixed size too. Finally the license doesn't allow me to change anything so you can forget about this one.

Is the source code comments referring to this thread?
http://hestia.nighsoft.net/nighsoft/....php?f=3&t=639
But it's listed on the sourceforge page as "GNU General Public License (GPL)"...
It seems a really odd way of "open-sourcing", is this just a scheme to sue people for violating the license? Someone plainly either doesn't understand open-source, GNU, etc. or is playing really evil here.
On the bright side, I think it can't hold up in court. The notion of having license to make some changes (granted on the website), revocable without notification (by just changing the website), just can't work.
The dark side is, unless you aim to go to court to prove it, any changes have to be made with a browser window open and clicking refresh.
